Steve G. Parsons moved to Lakeview Arkansas (part of District 1) in 2016 with his wife Dr. Susan Parsons (now a retired pathologist).  He has a Ph.D. in economics and is a retired consultant with former clients around the world.  He was an adjunct professor teaching the Economics of Technology to graduate students in engineering at Washington University (St. Louis) for over 20 years.

“I grew up in a staunchly republican household and a small family business that started out as a refurbished chicken coup and grew to have over 100 employees” said Parsons.  “But my parents complained that taxes and regulations made it increasingly difficult to grow the business.  Over time it was obvious both political parties had failed us.”  Parsons went on to earn two fellowships in graduate school and he built his own company by engaging the work ethic learned in the family business. He made his living as a practical economist helping companies around the globe make business decisions in the face of government regulations and restrictions.
